We allocate the proceeds from our annual Santa Float and supermarket collections at Christmas to the Dream Scheme, where, during January each year we accept applications from local clubs, societies and other organisations for funding.
The idea is that we consider ‘topping up’ their own fund raising efforts so a ‘dream project’ can be completed and their DREAM CAN COME TRUE

Partially Sighted Club
A monthly social club is held at the Hawthorns for the partially sighted, with talks and light entertainment including a ‘fish and chip’ lunch from time to time.
Old spectacle collection
Please bring your old spectacles to our monthly Bacon Butty Stall at the Farmer’s Market in Queens Square (every 4th Saturday morning). We recycle these to benefit a need in 3rd world countries
Lions have helped funded three life saving defibrillators in Clevedon – in Queens Square, Six Ways and West End Post Office. They have already been used in medical emergencies and are maintained by the Club, so are always available 24/7 in case of need.
Message in a Bottle
Lions distribute small plastic bottles to encourage people to keep basic personal and medical information on a standard form and in a common location – the FRIDGE.
In an emergency, the information can be retrieved by police or paramedics and could save a life especially if you have special medical problems or allergies. It’s ideal for vulnerable people but the scheme can benefit anyone.
A green sticker on your front door alters the emergency services that you use this service.
